Three Words Mr. President: "Medicare for All"

According to the article in your link, free markets in healthcare are not "contradictory to the laws of economics", and in fact have helped contain costs:

In the United States of America in the early 1960s, government involvement with medical care was limited; insurance covered less than half of all medical expenditures, compared with about 85% today. Since then, health care has been transformed by, among other things, Medicare and Medicaid, malpractice, and managed care. The non-market institutions that Arrow had observed, such as trust that physicians would not be motivated by profit and beliefs that the medical profession could regulate itself, have eroded.

Elsewhere, changes in health care have been no less remarkable. Spending on health services has increased dramatically in all of the world's high- and middle-income countries, leading to increased concerns about cost-containment, quality and responsiveness. Many of these countries, even if they have predominantly public systems, have introduced more market elements to relieve pressure on public services or to encourage greater productivity and allocative efficiency.

this statement...The vast majority of people are incapable of independently deciding health care choice, is the speak of a true Socialist and is BS..

the majority of people polled, I think it was 80% like the health care they have now..so how does that make them idiots?

anything to take control over the peoples lives is what a Socialist-Progressive strive for folks...think about it.

say no to the take over of our health care decisions by this administration..

A solid majority approve of the public option as of a bunch of polls that came out yesterday. Even Rassmussen had a majority in the mid-50s for approval of the public option.

psst .. lean over and let me whisper this in your ear ... I have documented evidence .. in fact, I already posted it.

American support for universal/nationalized healthcare has remained at about 60% for at least a decade.

Kudos to you and the right-wing hoard for your ability to put your boots deep into democratic ass. Even when there's a majority of them, you kick their asses and make them like it.

Your ability to turn the most insane thoughts imaginable into weapons to defeat democrats is truly amazing .. and you can do it even at the expense of this country, it's future, and the future of American children. That shit is a wonder to behold.

And the fact that you call yourselves "patriots" while you destroy America is just incredible.

You right-wingers can even turn healthcare for all Americans into a bad idea.

Truly a wonder to behold.

But the truth of this sad tale that we leave to our children, is that your ability to do this stems from the fact that you have no opposition. Democrats are pussies and you know it.

C'mon admit it .. democrats are pussies.

I agree with you.

1) You don't need permission from any committee to file a bill.
you need approval by the committee for it to be something more than a piece of paper lying on a desk...
2) Plenty of Republican ideas were accepted by the House Energy and Commerce Committee and I'm sure that plenty were accepted by the other House committees as well.
name one...
