Tiger vs Leopard

I'm considering updating my PowerMac to Leopard. It's a Dual-G4 1.25GHz, so even though it is old, Leopard should run fine. My question is, what improvements will I notice over Tiger? I wasn't really a "Mac guy" until recently, so this is all new to me.

Thanks

it comes with bootcamp ready to go, the dock is more dynamic giving you "stacks" (google that to know what it is) and you have spaces which is an addition to expose that allows you to have multiple desktops and map applications to them.

So for instance, I have four desktops, and I have firefox and adium on desktop 1, my poker clients on desktop2, itunes on desktop3, and I do work and writing on desktop4. That's a cool feature.

You have time machine which allows you to automatically back up your data.

Performance wise it seems pretty much the same as tiger, at least from my perspective.

Which they copied from linux.

I never got the point of it on linux anyway. It's redudant. You have the taskbar and can just click on the program you want. The extra desktops are nothing but a fancy version of that that takes up more memory.

I went ahead and installed it late last night / very early this morning. I added 1GB RAM (2GB Total) and modified my old ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (PC) to work in the Mac, replacing the ancient Radeon 9000. So far I am very pleased. It's funny how even a 6-year-old Mac can still be useful, while PCs of the same age are being dumped in the landfill.

Actually a 9800 is technically older than the 9000. I dunno though, they might have come out with the pro version later. But mainstream budget models usually take the longest to push out, because they design the high end first.

Even if that is true (I distinctly remember the 9000 being released alongside the 9700, but not the 9800 Pro - I had to wait awhile for it) it is irrelevant. The 9800 Pro is a much better card and probably the best option for this old system.

HEY EVERYONE, LOOK, WATERMARK HAS USED UBUNTU! EVERYONE - LOOK!

I am so glad that I spend my time talking to girls and have no idea what any of this means.

You don't know what you're missing, Epic.

Nothing is guaranteed to get a girl hornier than cybering in binary.

Dripping like a leaky radiator, everytime.

LOL but you said older.

Here's that in Hexadecimal:

49 20 77 61 6e 74 20 74 6f 20 66 75 63 6b 20 79 6f 75 20 73 6f 20 68 61 72 64 20 62 69 74 63 68 20 6f 68 20 79 65 61 68 20 6c 6f 6f 6b 20 61 74 20 6d 79 20 6e 69 6e 65 20 69 6e 63 68 20 63 6f 63 6b 73

You can see clearly why Hexidecimal is the preferred choice for cybering around the parts.

You filthy oik.

Even i wouldn't put one of those up there. Not on the Lord's day anyway.
