Time to close for profit prisons

Everyone can get on board with that right? What kind of person would want to see people locked up for profit?

A candidate must address this issue if they want my vote.

Corporations are on a mission to increase profits, not provide the best service they can. So they slash worker training and use fewer guards, risking safety for money. They make the food as cheap as possible, serving so much sub standard food.
They are prone to making charges to add time to prisoners. That makes them money. Profit should not be the driving force in a person's caging.

What kind of idiot believes profit is the motive? I don't care if a profit is made when those that are locked up because they need to be locked up get just that.

The food they serve is still too good for those that deserve to be where they are. If someone acts like an animal by committing a crime that gets them prison time, they should be treated like one.
