I think a lot of people on the left who resent the use of the term "woke" by the "anti-woke", don't really understand the way it's meant by them.
What "woke" means to people who are against wokeism, is pandering to groups of people who've succeded in establishing themselves as victims of the segments of society they are not part of.
All women must be treated as innocent victims of men.
All black people must be treated as innocent victims of whites.
All alphabet people must be treated as innocent victims of heterosexuals.
Any non-white, non-heterosexual, non-male must be treated as innocent victims of white males.
Yes, there are and have been cases where those situations are true. But there are many cases where the people in these groups victimize each other as well.
It's the attempt by certain groups to oversimplify everything and vilify others for all their problems that is what the word woke is used to describe.
I use it myself.
I'm not sorry for it, I'm not ashamed of it and I don't believe it's inaccurate.
To me it's just a replacement word for PC or political correctness.
No one group is the only bad guys or society's convenient dumping ground for everyone else's unhappiness with their lives.
