It occurs to me that a particularly weird situation arises this election.

If your side wins…it loses, along with all the rest of us.

Yup, if your side wins, we all lose. We will have four more years of Trump...which is like having four more years of leprosy.

Conversely, if your side loses…it wins, along with all the rest of us. We will finally be on a road to rid ourselves of the national nightmare we've all been living these last four years.

Yes, indeedy-do, if your side loses, we all win.

Not sure what to do with that, but…
 
With the exception of a few truly deranged Trumpsuckers here, the rest seem to be finally reading the writing on the wall and know he's toast.

on the other hand, if Trump wins, four years ago we can say "remember four years ago when that fuckwitted Frank told us we were going to lose?".........

After Trump loses, and let's be clear he and the Rebellion against the elite are not allowed to win, will some sanity return to the Left?

I tend to doubt it.
