I do not hate the internal combustion motorcar.
It has served us well since Benz and his German colleagues invented it in the 1880s
and America taught the world how to mass produce it and make it affordable to the working class.
Some gasoline motorcars have been, in every meaningful way, actual mechanical art worthy of museum display.
But nothing lasts forever. Its time has come and gone. We've got to find another way, first for the environment, but also as petroleum reserves deplete.
What amazes me is why so many working class people would have such a passion for the ultra-wealthy oil company shareholders.
It's not like they're going to die broke and need our sympathy.

Toyota once liked the democrats and had their HQ in CA. Newsome f'ed them and now they reside in TX where they were welcomed with open arms. BTW SpaceX, Musks operation is now near Austin. Ca is a dinosaur when it comes to corporations.
