Because there's no cap on how much a person can pay in out-of-pocket expenses each year, many others fear that a single illness will lead them into financial ruin even if they have insurance.
Just in case people weren't tuned in last night, new Census figures out today show the number of uninsured Americans rose and surveys show that 6 million more US residents have joined the ranks of the uninsured during the Bush recession. That's 17,000 men and women every single day, and we know that during this period of time, the number of adults who get their coverage at the workplace has dropped by 8 million people.
President Obama will not allow reform to be imperiled or postponed. We've talked this issue to death.
