In an obvious attempt to avoid the Senate confirmation process, tRump appoints a strong loyalist as "acting" head of DNI.
Colleagues describe Richard Grenell as a fierce attack dog who will have no difficulty in placing his primary loyalty to tRump instead of the country. I guess that the fact that Grenell has ZERO intelligence experience wasn't a concern to tRump. Color me "surprised".
 
People don't get how dangerous this is - and it's just the latest in a long line of brain drain.

Everyone notice that l'il virus that's going around? Trump has cut the CDC at unprecedented levels, and was warned that they were now ill-prepared for a pandemic.

It's weird how people see all this and still think "Trump & Trump alone can solve it." He's clueless.

As part of his plan to make America grate again, President Trump is founding the first new intel agency in 20 years! Its main responsibility will be to establish what the President wants to hear, then telling him, provided he hasn't changed his mind.

The President's Daily Ignorance Briefing (non-golfing days only) will consist of no more than half a page of large type, with pictures. This is expected to give him a major advantage in dealing with hostile foreign leaders such as Trudeau and Merkel.
 
There were many QUALIFIED candidates to choose from who would put "country" first and not tRump AND would be easily confirmed by the Senate. Oddly, not of them were considered. Kind of makes you go "hmmmm".

Trump won the election. He gets to choose. That is how it works. Sit down and accept your fate

Did you complain when Obama made interim appointments? No? Didn't think so.
 
Rightys cannot get it. An example is the Energy dept. Obama had 2 heads. They were both nuclear physicists, Moniz and Chu. Trump seated Rick Perry who said "I did not know nuclear was part of the energy dept;." He wanted to end the dept when he was woefully running against trump.
Do you rightys think Trump should appoint unqualified political choices because he can? It does not bother you? And we are supposed to respect your views?

Again, why do you post? that was just so stupid. The energy dept manages and regulates energy manufacturers to try and keep them from poisoning us all for higher profits.

again your ignorance is showing. As an example. When Obama addressed the US attys he appointed ,he said. 'I appointed you. But you do not serve me. You serve the American people. I expect you to act you to act independently and with integrity". Does not sound like trump and the repubs, does it.
