Trump's approval rating slips as Americans worry about the economy

WASHINGTON, Feb 19 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's approval rating has ticked slightly lower in recent days as more Americans worried about the direction of the U.S. economy as the new leader threatens a host of countries with tariffs, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

The six-day poll, which closed on Tuesday, showed 44% of respondents approved of the job Trump is doing as president, down from 45% in a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted January 24-26. Trump's approval rating stood at 47% in a January 20-21 poll conducted in the hours after the Republican's return to the White House.

The share of Americans who disapprove of his presidency has risen more substantially, to 51% in the latest poll, compared with 41% right after he took office.

Jeebus, I guess he wouldn't win another election tomorrow, then.

There never was a honeymoon with you losers. Besides, the OP is a big fat lie, as per usual. Yet dummies like you slurp it up as if it were manna from Obama's ding-a-ling. Glug glug glug. Have you been taking lessons from Diesel the Weasel?
Not a "honeymoon" situation. If you look at it and break this down by political party and leaning, it's one of extreme polarization. Republicans overwhelmingly support him (70 - 85%). Independents are middle of the road (45- 55%). Democrats, eg., the Left, are virtually all opposed to him (7 - 10% approve).

The demographics are the same. As you move Left politically Trump's support plummets. The Left HATES Trump and everything he's doing. The rest of the political spectrum varies in approval but generally hovers above 50%.

The result is that Trump's overall approval rating gets skewed. In statistics it would be called a serious kurtosis away from the political Left. This results in an averaged political favorability rating being somewhat lower than it otherwise would be. If anything, it also indicates that Trump is doing exactly what he said he would, and what, roughly, 75% of Americans want and expect him to do--that is, gut the federal government and federal spending like a fish.

If anything, the polling shows that Trump is extremely polarizing for the political Left. As the Left makes up maybe 15% of the electorate, I'd say Trump is right on track with what he's doing.

Pretty much irrelevant as far as the dishonesty in the OP goes. It claims Trump's approval rating has dipped to 44%, while the RCP average is at almost 50%. It's a lie, period, end of story.

Biden's approval rating was near 60% after his inauguration.

Other newly inaugurated presidents were near 60% or higher.

Trump is a historical outlier

What was was it when he left office? What was Kamala's?

Trump isn't a new President, he's on his second term, and he still beats the vermin your Party ran on his worst days.

CNN poll also finds Trump underwater. Worst approval ratings for an incoming newly-inaugurated president in polling history.

"Americans divide on Trump’s performance in office thus far, with 47% approving and 52% disapproving, below the start-of-term ratings for any recent presidency other than his own"

lol CNN's popularity is in the toilet. Guess what's left in their audience? Tards.
