Trump causes average gasoline prices to surge to $4.14/gal, diesel reaches $5.64

The price of all commodities is ultimately temporary.

But the thousands of dollars Trump is costing truckers and commuters at the pump as a war premium is gone for good, they're never getting that money back.
Agreed.

Sadly, I doubt the price will be dropping anytime soon, meaning by November. Trump's actions tonight may see the prices stabilize at their present level or rise dramatically for several months.

Given enough time everything it temporary.
That's why putting it into terms of a specific amount of time would be more meaningful. Does one, by "temporary", mean a matter of months? years? etc ...

I believe this current gas price situation to be temporary because: it wasn't caused by "green energy" policies, and because this military operation isn't going to last for years. In fact, I suspect it'll be over within the coming weeks. I expect gas prices to come down during the weeks following the conclusion of this operation, and they should definitely be "normal" again well before the Midterms.
Remember the temporary increase when Biden was president, and the whining that took place?
That wasn't temporary. That was due to "green energy" policies. Gas prices started rising from the Autopen's Day 1 and remained above $3/gal in WI all the way until the beginning of 2024 (that's three whole years btw).

Are the thousands of dollars that the Autopen costed me in sky high gasoline prices from early 2021 - early 2024 gone for good? Am I ever getting that money back?
