As far as I know, there has never been a case where an ex-president has been prosecuted for illegal actions committed during his term of office.
The one who came closest was Nixon. He made sure to obtain a blanket pardon in advance from Ford, so it was never tested if all his actions in office were covered by presidential immunity.
