This is the MIami reporter largely credited with exposing Epstein in a way that got him arrested the first time. In the recent "Epstein Files release' this tracking of her was exposed.
This was when Acosta was in the midst of giving Epstein the sweetheart deal.
Questions:
- why would the DoJ feel the need to know what personal travel of this reporter
- what where they concerned she may have known already or might find in the future
it certainly seems the DoJ was trying to figure out 'who knew what' as they were putting together the deal for Epstein, to avoid big embarrassing disclosures after the fact.
It truly is bizarre and hard to fathom why the DoJ would be concerned enough to waste time to track a reporter when you would think they would see all reporters as allies in trying to figure out and expose one of the biggest pedophiles in US history.
An investigative reporter who covered Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes has called out the Department of Justice after discovering her flight details from the day he was arrested appear in the Epstein files.
Journalist Julie K. Brown has been credited with reactivating the investigation into Epstein’s abuse of young women when the Miami Herald published her interviews with victims in November 2018, headlined "Perversion of Justice."
Brown spoke to around 80 alleged victims of Epstein, with her work earning her a George Polk Award in the category of Justice Reporting...
...
“Does somebody at the DOJ want to tell me why my American Airlines booking information and flights in July 2019 are part of the Epstein files (attached to a grand jury subpoena)?” Brown posted on X.
“As the flight itinerary includes my maiden name (and I did book this flight) why was the DOJ monitoring me?”
