Trump being Trump. He shows how little he cares about other people nearly every time he opens his blowhole. Trump's followers feel the same. It used to be that a politician could not be dismissive about soldiers and the military. They are sometimes risking their lives for the nation. But Trump treats the military with disdain. He claimed soldiers are suckers. He said he knows more than any general. Only he is qualified to run anything. Everyone else is mentally deranged and incompetent.
Trump has plenty of Hitler's beliefs. If Hitler did not declare himself the sole leader of the military, Germany may have won. He thought only he was capable of leading. That has a familiar ring.
