Will the tweetin Führer go into his bunker tonight and commence a tweetin Blitzkrieg ?

Donald Trump is weathering the biggest firestorm of his presidency thanks largely to his own staff.

At the center of the controversy is a whistleblower complaint that a US intelligence official filed against Trump in August. The complaint, which was released to the public on Thursday, focuses primarily on a July 25 phone call Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in which Trump repeatedly pressured Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 election, and help discredit the Russia investigation.

The complaint alleged that Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, was a key figure in the push and that Attorney General William Barr appears to be involved as well. It said Trump urged Zelensky to "meet or speak with two people the President named explicitly as his personal envoys on these matters, Mr. Giuliani and Attorney General Barr, to whom the President referred multiple times in tandem."

Congressional Democrats appear to have finally realized that pulling the impeachment lever is necessary to secure the integrity of the office of the president — regardless of what happens to Trump. Nervous talk of losing seats in “red” states has dissipated. And House Democrats seem to have accepted the potential inevitability that, if an obstreperous Senate won’t exercise its impeachment prerogative regarding this president, so be it. The Executive Office of the President as we know it will outlive Trump — but only if “We the People” preserve it. As Schiff said today in closing the session, “This is democracy.”

Trump wants the good old days when people that were bought, stayed bought. People who worked for you gave up their rights and values and adopted yours. Trump thought his terrible staff of sycophants was insulated from caring about constitutional transgressions and the law. They were owned by him. But a person or 2 who cares about the country over Trump must have snuck in. Rest assured. the Whitehouse purge is about to start. Trump's first question in hiring was "can I have your complete loyalty". Comey failed and Trump destroyed him.
