Trump Hits the Panic Button As Recession Looms Large

...the ramblings of a desperate man, sad

Donald J. Trump is nervous. Based on his activity over the weekend, he is more than nervous, he is panicked. He knows that the walls are closing in around him and he does not have much time. On Monday, an announcement was made that the federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York plan to indict Michael Cohen by the end of this month. Paul Manafort’s jury is deliberating. George Papadopoulos may soon be behind bars for lying to the FBI and to Mueller. Some or all of the above has Trump rattled, bigly.

Trump has blasted a number of tweets over the past twenty-four hours. Each day he takes things to a new low and creates more danger to law enforcement and our democracy. Today, Trump called Mueller and other federal law enforcement officers “thugs.” Whatever happened to Trump’s “law and order” and support of all law enforcement? I guess it’s only applicable when it’s not affecting him. Trump tweeted: “Disgraced and discredited Bob Mueller and his whole group of Angry Democrat Thugs spent over 30 hours with the White House Councel, only with my approval, for purposes of transparency. Anybody needing that much time when they know there is no Russian Collusion is just someone….”

He followed that immediately (the four dots are a clue his mind is still rambling): “….looking for trouble. They are enjoying ruining people’s lives and REFUSE to look at the real corruption on the Democrat side – the lies, the firings, the deleted Emails and soooo much more! Mueller’s Angry Dems are looking to impact the election. They are a National Disgrace!”

Donnie's got PLENTY of reasons to panic...…….

Nate Silver: What’s Going On With Trump’s Approval Rating?

The latest poll from ABC News/Washington Post found Trump’s approval rating at 38 percent, 6 points lower than the president’s approval rating in an early July survey. The new poll also showed that net approval of the president’s handling of the economy is slightly underwater, with 46 percent approving and 47 percent disapproving. This is notable, as the public has been more receptive to Trump’s handling of the economy compared to other issues. The president has — at least in part — attached his reelection fortunes to strong economic conditions. But even more troubling for Trump is that the ABC News/Washington Post poll also found that 60 percent of Americans believe a recession is somewhat or very likely to happen sometime over the next year. And as my colleague Nathaniel Rakich wrote last week, even some Republicans are starting to sour on Trump’s handling of the economy, so a deterioration in attitudes about the economy and the president’s stewardship of it could hurt his overall standing.

The polls du jour show President Donald Trump trailing basically every Democrat in the 2020 general election, both nationally and in individual states — even in Texas.

…... Donald Trump stuck between 41 and 44 percent in Texas. Head-to-head polling from the Washington Post and ABC News, fresh off the presses, tells a similar story at the national level among registered voters:

Joe Biden 55 percent, Donald Trump 40 percent

Bernie Sanders 52 percent, Donald Trump 43 percent

Elizabeth Warren 51 percent, Donald Trump 44 percent

Kamala Harris 50 percent, Donald Trump 43 percent

Pete Buttigieg 47 percent, Donald Trump 43 percent

Once again, the president doesn’t breach even 45 percent against any of his potential Democratic opponents.

Mueller is not enforcing the law. Cohen is not enforcing the law. He is breaking it.

You have a very weird sense of 'law and order'.

Year old "FAKE NEWS"....talk about panic and attempting to parrot the first piece of left wing propaganda you come across. FYI: Real news.....the investigators are now under investigation.

Here's another of Nate Silver's predictions. lmao

As if there aren't folks who voted for him and now realize what a lying thieving POS he is and what a huge mistake they made along with the folks who stayed home on election day who will now come out to get rid of him for the same aforementioned reason. Common sense here. 2016 had a record low voter turnout but that will likely change to give this monster the boot.

he formulates his predictions using up-to-date actual polls - that one was obviously early in the election season, before Trump humiliated the entire GOP field and gap-tooths lined up to drool over him

what's the date on that map?

What does it matter? Obviously it was not correct. Like every poll predicting an HRC win.
