The democrat party has to face facts. Mueller isn't going to save them. Stormy Daniels isn't going to save them. Avanatti isn't going to save them. Puerto Rico isn't going to save them. School shootings aren't going to save them. Auntie Maxine isn't going to save them. Crying over illegal immigrant kids isn't going to save them.
Trump is winning on the issues. His poll numbers are as high as any President at this point in his term. In hindsight, Trump was done a favor by the feckless Congress because no controversial legislation was passed that could rile up the population the way Clinton and Obama did with healthcare.
What is striking to me is Trump's poll numbers. He has a 90% favorability among republicans. That means the NeverTrumpers are a small contingent. JPP NeverTrumpers can hide behind the skirt of George Will and Bill Kristol but they know they are losing and badly.
What should really scare the hell out of the democrat party are these numbers
Look at that swing among hispanic voters. 10% is huge and 4% is huge among democrats. I have also seen a double digit move among black voters. Now it is too early to make predictions for 2018 or 2020, but I will say this if something doesn't change to change these numbers and the trajectory keeps heading in Trumps direction, the democrat party is dead in 2018 and 2020. The GOP will expand its majority in the House and get a filibuster proof Senate.

A Harvard CAPS/Harris poll showed his approval rating hitting 47 percent, a two-point gain in one month driven by a 10-point swing among Hispanic voters and a four-point gain among Democrats.
