Cuba has announced the release of 2,010 political prisoners as a "humanitarian and sovereign gesture," according to a statement issued Thursday by the Cuban embassy in the United States. Among those being released are a number of foreign nationals, young people, women, and individuals aged over 60.

That is NOT the issue.

The issue is 'do we want the US to be the worlds Policeman taking out 'bad people' in 'bad countries' around the world'.

If that is the vision of a POTUS he should run on that and get a mandate and not run on the opposite of that as Trump did.

There are numerous countries all around the world run by 'bad people' that by this logic a future POTUS could try and take out and if the 'citizens give a fuck about the people there' they should then just be ok with it.

But then there is the issue of 'what if it goes wrong and gets worse'? Can Trump or a future POTUS say "we have less interest in Iran or Country XYZ so the countries who have more interests now need to fix what we fucked up' or should the use adopt a 'if we break it, we must fix it' policy? Again something the citizens should vote on.

Cuba is 90 miles from the US. It Is more of a concern to us. As did Venezuela, they nationalized US businesses.
