As per the Constitution it is up to the states legislatures to decide how they want to appoint their Reps to the EC .
so state legislatures can just appoint whom they want and not even hold elections.if they ever did I am sure they would be looking for a new job real soon.

Yes he did. Look at the map. Look at each state's totals. Add up the total votes (this is simple addition, you can use a calculator), they total much less than in the last presidential election. Yet, this was supposed to be the most important election in our history. Maybe it was, considering the alternative.
