Trump only really wanted to win the Nobel Peace Prize for one reason – and you guessed it: it’s Obama

President Donald Trump has lost out on the Nobel Peace Prize after the Norwegian committee responsible for awarding the honor chose Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado instead.

Trump has long lobbied for the prize and had hoped his role in the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement struck earlier this week might finally have clinched it for him.

Excitable members of the president’s MAGA coalition, led by his son Eric Trump, had called for him to be rewarded for his efforts in seeking to bring peace to Gaza, with more than one claiming the deal was so significant that the entire prize should be renamed after him in place of founder Alfred Nobel.

But Trump himself did not dare get his hopes up, giving a cagey answer when he was asked about his prospects by a reporter at the White House on Wednesday.

“I have no idea,” he answered her. “I mean, look, I did settle — Marco [Rubio] will tell you — we did settle seven wars. We’re close to settling an eighth, and I think we’ll end up settling the Russia situation, which is horrible... I think we’ll settle that, so... I don’t think anybody in history has settled that many, but perhaps they’ll find a reason not to give it to me.”

Obama might have been the reason Trump went to the US Open....thus degrading it....Obama was the only President who had been there while in office.....though unlike Trump Obama had a good reason.

Michael Steele explains Trump's obsession over Obama:

Ex-GOP insider rips Trump’s ‘obsession’ with Obama: ‘The walls may be closing in’

Former Republican National Committee Chair Michael Steele has an explanation for why President Donald Trump developed what he called an “obsession” with former President Barack Obama.

The former president has come under scrutiny from Trump, his administration and his base after National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard on Friday released over 100 pages of declassified documents, which she claimed show “overwhelming evidence” and a “treasonous conspiracy” that Obama and his deputies had paved the way for a yearslong Trump-Russia collusion probe. Fox News reported on Monday that the Justice Department received Gabbard’s criminal referral related to her claims....

...Steele, an MSNBC host, addressed how Trump has “plenty of presidential targets to attack,” but has instead decided to turn his attention to Obama.

“The AI-generated video was a projection of everything Trump fears and envies about his predecessor: Obama’s grace, intellect, global stature and, most of all, the fact that Obama’s very presence in the White House redefined what power could look like in America,” Steele wrote in an op-ed for MSNBC.

NPR had an interview this past week with a historian. I couldn’t tell if he was on the Nobel Prize voting committee or not, but they were talking about Obama winning it.

It was fascinating to hear him say Obama basically won it on hope, that they thought giving it to him might influence how he governed. He even said he wishes he could take it back because, based on Obama’s actions, he shouldn’t have received it.

And in typical NPR fashion, the interviewer asked if Trump deserved it but her tone made it clear she meant, “I know you and I share the same worldview and there’s no way Trump deserves anything, but I have to ask.” The guy said no.

Norwegians. Go figure.

Why don't the MAGAts come up with their own prize to give Trump? That would please him!

Fuck you asshole. You supported the assassination of your president so, fuck you!

LOL you only are going to get mad when he ignores you yet again.
It's great to be missed! LOL

I'm debating with myself when to take the current 44(?) off ignore. I was thinking about a holiday like Halloween or Thanksgiving, but it's been really, really nice not to have to scroll through dozens of posts of pure bullshit, venting and a lot of cray-cray. I've clicked on 20-page threads with some pages completely blank! LOL

Having idiots, the insane and the evil on ignore makes it easy to go right to an intelligent, rational and good person's post. Less work. :)

Still, even if I go through Damo's new Ignore procedures to unignore half the number, it'd still be good not to have to scroll through the inane bullshit falling out of the asses of psychos with access to the Internet.
