Every American should be outraged at the display tRump presented at his press conference. On a presidential scale of 1-10, tRump scored a negative (-5) five. Never have I seen such a whiny ass crybaby speak from the White House. His comments were disrespective to our democracy. They were dishonest regarding content and truly disturbing.

In a nutshell, tRump embarrassed an entire nation with that ridiculous conspiracy latent diatribe. tRump is a national disgrace.

I used to feel that way. Before I lost faith in democracies and republics, however, I already began to favor parliamentary systems due to the much greater variety in parties and more accurate representation of the public.

Then I realized that popular will is largely just a consequence of media messaging.

Media? Do you include Russian propaganda through Twitter and Facebook? If it were that simple, there would be widespread agreement.

Sure, you can include Russian propaganda. And if you paid attention to the findings on that, you'd know that they specifically wanted to generate division in America. The pro-Trump stuff got most of the attention from the mainstream media, but there was plenty of pro-Hillary and pro-Bernie material they spread as well. The idea is to get Americans to hate each other, and it proved extremely easy to do.

As for why we don't have as much manufactured consent during much of the election season, it's because controversy and outrage generate ad revenue. Granted, there are definitely mainstream media attempts to downplay and ignore material that goes against popular progressive narratives.

As far as agreement goes, all the media has to accomplish with this election is to get enough of the population to agree with the idea that the election was legitimate and that Biden won fair and square. You won't see much of the media suggest anything suspicious about all of the vulnerabilities of mail-in voting. There are a few conservative media outlets that have pointed these things out, but conservative media is greatly outnumbered by progressive media (with the exception of the talk radio market).

You think we don't already live in one? To be more precise, I think we have a kleptocracy. But Trump was fighting that. We've had a kleptocracy since at least the 60s.

Sadly losing the election will likely not stop his undermining the American system..
