EARLIER THIS WEEK Donald Trump kicked off his campaign for re-election by demonizing immigrants, viciously criticizing his Democratic rivals, launching personal attacks against his many political enemies, recounting his endless series of grievances, and lying about his record.

In other words, it was a typical day in Trump’s America.

As at every Trump rally — and frankly the majority of Republican presidential events for the past several decades — the president played on the cultural resentments of his core supporters.

Trump is not growing his base and the last election, he lost by 3 million. His base is angrier and even less able to digest facts and data.

That's the only chance he's got. He's also hoping that his base continues to ignore the fact that he lied about funding his own campaign. Apparently he doesn't have the money to do that.

We will find out in 2020 who America is. Are we a country of racists and bigots, or do we care about Constitutional values? I was feeling pretty secure we were on the right path, but Trump changed that. He is a terrible bigot and hater. Now he feels secure enough to say it in public. The Repubs have no response. That means they back him.

I love watching liberals hate. It ensures their continued failure to control this country like Fascistic dictators trying to turn it into a third world shit hole. ;)
