WASHINGTON—President Trump said he “couldn’t care less” if foreign automakers raise their prices for U.S. consumers in response to new tariffs, doubling down on an aggressive strategy to remake the American economy with heavy tariffs set to go into effect this week.

In an interview with NBC News on Saturday, Trump said a new 25% tariff on all imported vehicles and parts starting this week would make foreign cars more expensive and bolster sales of U.S. vehicles.

It is also going to drive up the cost of " American made " autos.
He doesn't seem to know just how many auto parts come from Canada and Mexico that go into a " American made " auto.
If I remember right it is like 65% of all " American made " autos.
I read FORD has said the price of their autos will be going up at least $ 3,000 to 5,000 dollars.
Sales will drop and Trump's tariffs will hurt the American auto companies besides other Industries.
The shit hits the fan Wed.

Trump DID start working to lower prices on day 1. He also DID start working toward establishing peace and an end to the Russian-Uiraine war, moron. Chanting what Democrats tell you to chant on MSNBS is just mindless.

Ford makes the parts for their cars in the United States also in the United States, Tball.
Prices on some Ford cars are going up due to the high inflation during Obama's 'third term'.
Prices on Ford trucks is falling.

Hate to tell you this MR KNOW IT ALL YOU do not know SHIT about the US auto industry.
I worked in it for 40 years and have been to stamping plants, engine plants and assembly plants in the US and Canada.
And neither FORD nor GM make all the parts for their Cars or Trucks in the USA and haven't since the 1940's.
And YES the price of Trucks are going up, in fact the price of the truck I bought a month ago is up over 3000 more now then when I bought it, I have been looking at buying this truck for about 6 months and a salesmen friend of mine told me I better get soon because the price was going up the middle / end of March and it has.

There is NOT one "AMERICAN MADE " auto that has 100% all American made parts in it.

The irony is that he has positioned himself as the Messiah of a populist movement, largely by lying, telling them what the want to hear, and the reality is that he doesn’t give a rat’s ass about them or anyone else

Trump is a successful real estate developer. He deals with workers and craftsmen all the time as well as truckers, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, etc.

He also has been elected TWICE, anchovies, along with the House and Senate gaining republican majority, the number of governors republican majority, and most State legislators obtain republican majority.
