Trump Supporter Standing By His Vote After His Wife Is Detained By ICE

Donald Trump supporter said he doesn’t regret his decision to vote for the president despite ICE agents arresting his wife amid mass deportation efforts, per Newsweek.

Bradley Bartell said he and his wife, Camila Muñoz, a Peruvian citizen working toward obtaining permanent residency in the U.S., were traveling back home from their honeymoon when she was detained by ICE.

Munoz first came to the U.S. on a work-study visa in 2019. Her visa expired amid the COVID-19 pandemic and when international travel was halted. Munoz met Bartell while working in farming and hospitality.

The two married and had pushed their honeymoon to February when Munoz was stopped by ICE agents while coming back from Puerto Rico.

Despite explaining that she was in the process of obtaining a green card, Munoz was detained and is currently being held in an ICE Facility in Louisiana.

"It's all been a nightmare really, taking things as they come and moving forward," Bartell said. "We have an attorney. The system for getting people through seems to be very inefficient, so it is taking longer than it should."

Still, Bartell is backing his vote for Trump.

"I don't regret the vote," Bartell said in a statement.

Bartell was critical of ICE and called for systemic reform, yet said Trump isn’t to blame for the issue.

She knew she was here illegally she should have went home until she had legal status.

They are grabbing, and treating very badly, random people at the border. It used to be that detainment was for people they thought might break the rules, but now it is a punishment for people who just try to follow the rules.

I think trained psychologists need to do a study on these Trump voters who continue to worship their Messiah, even after their wives get taken from them and deported.

She was in violation of the law. She needed to go home to Peru at the earliest convenience post pandemic and wait for A CR-1 or K-1 visa if not already married. These are not hard to obtain and are rarely denied if the foreign spouse hasn't had legal trouble or isn't married in their own country but do take some time.

I'm celebrating my 18th wedding anniversary next week. My wife came to America a K-1 visa when GW was in office and it was a process but now she's a citizen and we did it legally.

Why is this such a hard concept? Yes the immigration system needs to be reformed but of all the areas the spousal and fiance visas are the most straightforward and non problematic under current law.

I would advise any single male wanting a family that won't be torn apart at the whims of delusion to obtain a passport.

"Trump-supporter Bartell told the publication that he initially believed that ICE would only seek out and deport immigrations that had crossed the border illegally or those who had a criminal history."

^^ Wishfull thinking by a MAGA cultist.

If your spouse is here illegally my advice is not to air travel out of the country and submit to re entry scrutiny. No place like the airport to get busted for immigration law violations. Use some common sense.

He blames ICE, not Trump, and he somehow expects his Messiah to reform ICE to be more reasonable and humane
Trump was the one who held up the bi partisan bill that would have helped processing his wife’s request for a green card. They do require you to be married for awhile to prove you’re not just buying a spouse to obtain a green card.

Something is wrong with this story. There has to be more to it. There is something that is not being reported to cause ICE agents to incarcerate this woman....... like maybe a criminal record here or in her country of origin.

^^^ Like the husband in the article, you're still laboring under the delusion that the 'compassionate' Trump is only going after 'bad guys'

The lady in the article overstayed her student visa. That is more than enough for Trump to throw her out of the country.

He voted for and got what he wanted so now it is biting him in the ass I don't feel sorry for any of them.
IMO there will be a lot more MAGAS crying when it is all said and done.

How would you know what Trump supporters think?
Because of all the Trump supporters who didn't think their wives would be detained by ICE, and the MAGA morons who didn't think they would lose their government jobs - because they thought Trump was only going to go after the "bad guys".

IOW, they didn't think Trump's rules applied to them.

The guy in the article is obviously choosing loyalty to Trump over loyalty to his wife.
They can afford a lawyer to fight this. There are many who can’t.

They’re running a commercial in Houston, Noem asking people to self deport and enter the correct way. The only problem is it can take 10 years and the Yrump administration only want Eastern Europe migrant women to apply.
