Trump turned on Lindsey Graham. Of course.

The one ironclad rule of friendship with Donald Trump is this: Eventually, he will turn on you.

That time came on Thursday for South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, who has sacrificed much over the past four years to ingratiate himself with Trump, in the wake of the release of "Peril," a book on Trump's final year in office.

The book by authors Bob Woodward and Robert Costa documents Graham's repeated -- and unsuccessful -- attempts to convince Trump to concede the 2020 election.

Trump, naturally, responded by savaging Graham, as well as fellow Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah.

"I spent virtually no time with Senators Mike Lee of Utah, or Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, talking about the 2020 Presidential Election Scam or, as it is viewed by many, the 'Crime of the Century,'" Trump wrote in a statement sent via his Save America PAC. "Lindsey and Mike should be ashamed of themselves for not putting up the fight necessary to win."

That's friendship to Trump. It's purely transactional. He will be "friends" with you for as long as you are useful to him. If he tires of you or decides you have violated some unwritten rule about loyalty, he will turn on you. Every. Damn. Time.

Trump has no friends. None at all. He is a user. When he is done with them, he shit cans them. The only person I remember him spending a long time being friends with was Epstein.
Lindsay had use for Trump. When he does not, then sayonara.

Lindsey is a flip flop.

First he was against Trump during the 2016 campaign, then he was all behind Trump after it became politically expedient for him. So now he's back to opposing Trump.

Is anyone surprised.

Look at how Lindsey flip flopped on picking a SCOTUS justice.

Oh, when denying Obama's pick Garland a fair hearing 8 months before the 2016 election, Lindsay said "You can use my words against me if I ever support a SCOTUS nomination just prior to an election."

Then, of course, that exact thing was done when he supported Barrett just 1 month before the 2020 election.

Did it matter to him? Not in the least.

Lindsey sold his soul and his values to Trump. He was very clear about what he thought of Trump as a person and politician. Then he swallowed it all when Trump won. Worse he jumped on the bandwagon showing he really is valueless. How anyone could vote for him I cannot understand. Who is he really?
