Sure he will, now we have this Obamagate bullishit and there will more to come too?!!

Everyone who covers President Donald Trump with even the slighted bit of integrity will tell you he’s prone to lie and distort the facts with little compunction. But the media is still struggling to cope with this fact.

And as we head into the crucial stretch of the 2020 campaign, reporters and the voting public need to prepare themselves. Because the fact is, not only does Trump lie prolifically — but he is clearly prepared to say literally anything if it thinks it will help him get re-elected.

This may sound like an exaggeration, but it’s hard to think of any other limiting principle to his dishonesty and manipulation. Being willing to say anything, of course, doesn’t mean he will say anything, because many lies wouldn’t help him be re-elected. If he tried, for instance, to tell the American people that Hillary Clinton had been locked up, or that everyone will get a million dollars if he’s re-elected, these lies wouldn’t help. Everyone could see that Clinton isn’t in jail, and even his hardcore supporters aren’t gullible enough to believe we could all get a million dollars.

It is true, of course.

And part of that is his need to control the news cycle.

The important thing to remember is he is fishing, and we are all hungry for news. He is going to be busy, doing his best to throw things out there, hoping for bites.

The best thing we can do is to ignore him and stay focused on what is important to the country right now, the coronavirus crisis.

That is his weakness. He wishes it would go away. We all wish it would go away, but he especially wishes it would go away for very selfish reasons. We all want the pain and suffering to stop. We want the economy back. We can't have those things right now and we have to deal with this massive issue that isn't just going away.

His power comes from controlling the news cycle, controlling the message. A 125 nm bug is upsetting everything, including his power.

The best thing we can do is what we are already doing. Stay informed, stay focused on the major issues, which almost all pertain to the crisis that won't go away.

Don't let HIM control the news cycle by taking the bait nor becoming embroiled in a fake controversy of HIS making.

I don't care WHAT he says about Obama. I know it's pure baloney straight from the world's greatest BS emitting ConMan.

I am so done letting HIM control the news cycle.

No more. We have more important issues to deal with.

Giving him attention has been a bad habit anyway...

Now you think they aint gonna believe hilary is in a "mental prison"~which is what trump really meant the entire time..

It is very true, it is about controlling the news cycle & up till the virus struck he did just that 24/7..

When the virus started cutting into his control he started w/ the daily propaganda briefings, till he made a fool of himself to many times..

While that is great advice how many here will commit to doing so?? Ignoring the BS SPIN??

There are a few here that post trump propaganda & lies & ppl flock to it like flies on shit....

Perhaps they don't understand what ignore means??

They are generally referred to as Friday night massacres. The idea is they will not be noticed over the weekend and by then you have your crazy righty spokesmen lying about it. This is not a new tactic, but Trump is cruelly beating it to death.
