On March 20, 2017, FBI Director Comey gave a public briefing to the House Intelligence Committee. He announced that “the FBI, as part of our counterintelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, and that includes investigating any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government.” (He declined to identify the individuals being investigated.)

The investigation had been ongoing since July 2016. This was the first the public had heard of it, four and a half months after the election.

Question: If Comey and the gang were part of a conspiracy to sink Trump, why was nothing about the investigation – not even its existence - leaked BEFORE the election? If you were out to stop Trump being elected, wouldn’t you have done that?

Any reasonable attempts at an explanation would be welcome.

At one point, Obama asked whether there was any evidence of collaboration between the Trump campaign and Russia, but any response that may have been recorded in Brennan’s notes is redacted.

And the irony is that no one outside of the FOX bubble cares, Americans have been hearing it all even before Trump took office, and in 2020 there are other issues and events actually relevant to Americans' lives
