Trump continues to prove he lacks the maturity and social graces required for higher office. His termination of his latest SecDef by Twitter is just the first of what is going to be an EPIC ending to a Presidential Administration. Trump will leave a lot of legacies behind, but his final days as President will be the ones most remembered.

Purging the entire White House cabinet would be the least he could do. He's already refusing to have his people meet with Biden's people to review details despite that's in the nation's best interests.

I strongly doubt Trump will allow any transition teams meeting until December 14th. Even then, he could still throw a tantrum expressing his displeasure with the election results in ways that harm the nation, but are relatively minor in overall consequence. Canning the entire cabinet and letting the Bidens walk into an empty shell at the White House on January 20th is probably the worst he could do.

All of these actions would certainly draw a lot of publicity for Trump TV and, without a doubt, become the most Epic Exit in White House history.

He can flounce however he likes. If he does something stupid he can sit in prison while his lawsuits pile against him. If he openly enflames his followers and they cause death and destruction that all should be on his plate.

All true, but what if, like Hillary, he (or more likely his lawyers) know where the lines are drawn? How far can he go legally? Fire everyone in the White House including all the permanent staff? Just him, Melania and Barron? How about mobilize troops? Nothing bad, just move them around like pawns? (not that Trump knows how to play chess). Burn a lot of gas, waste everyone's time, scare the shit out of Mexico or Canada. All legal.

Outright abusing the presidency to openly push the lines of legality will quickly have Pence finishing out the year.

Jesus, haven't you ever been in a situation with the option of a "last act of defiance"? Great if you're in the right, not good for others if it's an extremely pissed off and immature President. :D

We shall see if his supporters are actually stupid enough to commit acts of violence on behalf of tRump.

There's stupidity on both sides. It just takes different forms because of the ideological differences; which is interesting isn't it? How they act violently but different? Also interesting is why most are non-violent, but there always a percentage who are violent. That part fascinates me as much as their differences in violent tactics.

There are always a few people who are nutty enough to do it and stupid enough to be exploited.

The violence is coming; Trump will be the cause of several murders over this because he's delusional and considers CHEATING to be a tool.

Hopefully there are enough high ranking Generals who will refuse to carry out any such insane orders Trump tries to give them.

Or just slow walk them and run out the clock on him.

With a guarantee of total amnesty from Biden for any charges they might possibly face.

It might be up to the Republicans in Congress to do it. The Generals will comply with the law.

Not necessarily.

If we have to rely on the GOP, we're fucked because we all know they are up Trump's ass as far as they can crawl.

The Generals and other military leaders are the ones who've shown the biggest propensity to break with Trump and openly criticize him.

I think if Trump tried to circumvent the law and/or the Constitution, they would be the ones most likely to resist that.

The US military will follow the law. That still leaves Trump a lot of latitude.

What if Trump activated then entire military and ordered them to the border of Mexico?

Legal? Yes, AFAIK.

Smart? No.

Will the Republicans quietly accept this if not applaud it? I hope not.

No, that is not legal according to the Posse Comitatus Act.

The US military cannot be used for any action within the borders of the US.

That's why there is a National Guard.

That's not true. Are you saying that if Canada attacked the US, the CiC couldn't order US military to the border?

Posse Comitatus covers using military as LEOs or actions inside the US, not to defend it's borders. If the US military's job isn't to defend the US, then whose job is it?
