Trump’s Legal Woes Mount as Trial Dates and Campaign Calendar Collide

As former President Donald J. Trump campaigns for the White House while multiple criminal prosecutions against him play out, at least one thing is clear: Under the laws of physics, he cannot be in two places at once.

Generally, criminal defendants must be present in the courtroom during their trials. Not only will that force Mr. Trump to step away from the campaign trail, possibly for weeks at a time, but the judges overseeing his trials must also jostle for position in sequencing dates.

Trump is running to keep from showing up at trials. He wants it so running is like the presidency. He cannot be prosecuted while he is running. Only. that is wrong.

Unless the justice system wants to look like a conspirator in an attempt to keep a viable--like it or not that's obviously true--presidential candidate from campaigning for office, they'll be forced to adjust their trial dates and such to fit around Trump's campaign schedule rather than the other way around. Delaying some hearing or whatever until after the election would have far less impact and infinitely less bad optics than forcing things forward where the courts kept Trump from campaigning.

Yea, I get that the Left thinks it's perfectly fine to try and cripple the opposition by any means necessary but for the other 80-ish percent of the population, it won't go down well with them.
