Trump’s lying

A striking feature of Donald Trump’s persona is his constant, pointless lying, which in itself should be enough to disqualify him as a national leader. Politicians can be evasive, of course, but we don’t expect them to lie all the time for no reason. If they do, alarm bells should ring.

Mary Trump refers to this only once in her book, I think, where she suggests that Donald developed the habit to win his father’s approval, and it became ingrained behavior. Does anyone find this a sufficient explanation?

Habitual and pathological lying is tRump's specialty. Why the trumpanzee zealots seem to be so comfortable with it best describes the kind of people that they truly are.

Mary's late father was Fred Trump's favorite child. Obviously, tRump has never come to terms with it.

No, it sounds more like an excuse. I've known a couple of pathological liars like him in my life. They lie as easily as we breathe. They lie for no discernible reason, other than sometimes to make themselves look better, get sympathy, or get out of trouble. But mostly it's for no reason that you can figure out.

The bigger problem is the trump worshipping morons who know that tRump is an habitual liar and simply do not care. I used to think that they were woefully naive. I now think that tRump merely possesses and publicly projects the deplorable traits that they also posses but work hard to conceal.

Everything that Trump does is seen as how he can profit off of it. He is into self aggrandizement. How could it possibly be any more obvious?

If that corresponded with what's best for America it wouldn't be such a problem, but it seldom does.

This is why people should have to take a mental health test before running for office.
