As the Woodward tapes reveal, Trump LIED to us and downplayed the danger of the Coronavirus, when he KNEW that the virus was VERY CONTAGIOUS, and that it could be deadly to MANY us.
He says that he lied, because he didn’t want to cause a panic.
That makes PERFECT sense, if you don’t think about it.
But let’s think about it for a minute. Are there any flaws in his excuse for lying to us?
Consider these three possible flaws:
#1: What happens when we see MILLIONS of people getting sick, and THOUSANDS of people dying?
Answer: PANIC!
#2: What happens if we don’t know WHY so many people are getting sick and dying?
Answer: EVEN MORE PANIC!
#3: As MOST of us know, if you see a problem heading toward a bunch of people, you should WARN those people about it, so that they KNOW it’s coming their way. IF they know it’s coming their way, they can PREPARE for it. That will give them a chance to MITIGATE, or AVOID, its harmful effects.

What Trump did is like a weatherman who sees a DEADLY hurricane heading toward Florida, and decides not warn the Floridians, because he doesn’t want to cause a panic. (And Trump says he has good judgment. What a CROCK!)
And now we know that he lied in order to protect the Stock Market. And we ALSO know that he told the truth to his investor friends, and as a result, they made out BIGLY in the Stock Market.
Bottom line: He lied to us for his POLITICAL GAIN. If the Stock Market looks good, HE looks good. And RICHER investor friends mean BIGGER campaign donations. And to H●LL with the American people! We were on our own. (Do the terms “low-life” and “human scum” come to mind? What about “deplorable”?)
Trump’s “Pandemic Panic” scam is FAR worse than his “Trump University” scam. His “Trump University” scam cost many people their hard-earned money. But, his “Pandemic Panic” scam cost MANY MORE people their livelihoods and their lives.
