Trump’s use of the Bible fits white Christianity perfectly

We fight, We win
For much of our nation’s history, white people have used Christianity and the Bible as weapons of violence, oppression, and white supremacy. During white settlement and expansion, white Christians killed or forcibly removed native peoples from their lands. At the same time, white Christians enslaved black people. They used the Bible to justify their actions, which persisted for hundreds of years. God, according to white Christians’ interpretation of the Bible, not only approved but commanded such oppression.

And let us not forget the almost ever-present anti-Semitic, anti-Jewish sentiments within white churches that even Billy Graham privately espoused.

Given this history, Trump’s violent suppression of a peaceable crowd and celebration of his dominance with a Bible and church fit perfectly with white Christianity in America.

Apparently. Christians accept Jesus in their hearts and believe in him and that he is Son of God.

Trump doesn't qualify.

I doubt anyone does. Is there really anyone who tries to live like Jesus wanted? Show me one Christian who doesn't masturbate or have premarital sex. And I know it's not popular to say, but Jesus considered homosexuality a sin. All of these liberal Christians who say being a Christian is about compassion are defining compassion in a Post-Enlightenment way, not a biblical or traditional way.

Jesus never said for anyone to be perfect. And Jesus never said anything about masturbation. And Jesus never said anything about homosexuality either.

Jesus believed in Judaism and said that he didn't come to change the Jewish laws. If the Old Testament is wrong, then the Son of God was wrong, which goes against Christianity.

It's not just that Christians makes mistakes, it's that they don't even try to follow their own religion.

The Jewish laws are for Jews.
