Iranian Missile Attack Wounds 10 US Troops, Damages Aircraft at Saudi Base
At least 10 U.S. service members were wounded Friday in an Iranian missile-and-drone attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia that also damaged several American aircraft, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the matter.
One official said two were seriously wounded. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military information, and the extent of the aircraft damage was still being assessed.
Images posted online and labeled as satellite imagery appeared to show damaged aircraft on the apron at the base, which hosts U.S. forces and has served as a key hub during the month long war.
