Two years in, my evaluation of the President...

I doubt I will be voting for him...

I suspect this year I can afford to "throw away my vote" on a more liberal canidate who can better represent my views.

On the economy I will give Obama my highest marks... He has done a great job of turning this economy away from a clif that was sharper and deeper than what we are in. The policies have not been what I would have wanted, but facing what we were facing... Id say they were pretty good. By any objective measure we are better off now than anyone would have projected us to be two years ago.

Healthcare had to be reformed. To have what we have without a public option will not be much better than what we had. I can only hope that 5 to 10 years later the second part of this reform will get passed and our system will finally be brought up to date with most other modern nations.

Otherwise I am dissappointed about what the President has accomplished. On the social front he has not accomplished much in the way of securing freedom, and in some ways has gone furhter down the road the Republicans with GWB started down. The government is still not anymore responsive to the oppressed and is still trampeling on many of the Rights of Americans. Gays are no closer to being allowd full marriage rights and still cannot openly serve in the military. President Clinton at least got a baby step taken with DADT, but thats still a poor policy and the cause needs a champion, and the Presidnet aint that guy.

The only way I can see myself stooping low enough to compromise and vote for the President is if the R's run another Bush type, (Palin for example) and the race is close.

If the R's nominate a reasonable canidate (Romney), the difference between that canidate and Obama will be so negligable that I will vote with someone who more closely represents my views.

LOL Another Jarod attempt to appear cohesive and cognizant.

Transparent as usual.

HIGH MARKS on the economy!

HEALTHCARE! CHECK!

Nebulous other stuff.... NADER ALL THE WAY!

""By any objective measure we are better off now than anyone would have projected us to be two years ago.""

Well considering Obama's own people had predicted unemployment to be around 8% after the stimulus I'm not quite sure how you can make the above statement Jarod.

The best liar always gets elected. And then you have the lemmings talking about "objective measures" to defer the fact that reality trumps all objective and even pessimistic predictions.

Yet, Obama still gets "HIGH MARKS" for the economy.

There's nothing that could have happened for Jarod not to give him high marks.

Lemmings, they're a pain in the ass, and they vote.

Had we stayed on the path we were on under GWB, I would not have given him high marks... Had we not started the signs of improvemnet 2 years in, I would have been reluctant to say much. Two years is nothing to get us out of what we were in...

I dont thank many understand how bad the financial situation really was!

What a freakin' drama queen......99% of the recessions experienced in the US last between 1 and 2 years....that is a historical fact and holds true since 1797.....with few exceptions.
So, in fact, this recession is right in line with all recessions.....about an average of 2 years, give a take some months....
and nothing would be different even if McCain had won or Madonna were president.....recessions run there course and our resilient economy rebounds...so Jarhead, just go choke your chicken, get it over with, and wipe it off, then can the Obama worship until he powers off AF ONE and actually spends some time in the Oval Office and does something presidential....

Bush knew the economy was about to collapse and capitalism was about to eat itself... again. It is the Republicon plan to bring America to it's knees.

Obama saved capitalism from itself.

"The banking system was resuscitated by $700 billion in bailouts started by Bush (a fact unknown by a majority of Americans), and finished by Obama, with help from the Federal Reserve. It worked. The government is expected to break even on a risky bet to stabilize the global free market system. Had Obama followed the populist instincts of many in his party, the underpinnings of big capitalism could have collapsed. He did this without nationalizing banks, as other Democrats had urged."

Exactly, except this recession was not anywhere close to the size of 99% of all recessions. This was the second worse ever and would VERY likely been the worse had the policies of the Republicans remained in effect.

I love what Carville said about the President today regarding his stance on Dont ask dont tell.....

"If Hillary gave him a ball, he would have two...!"

Real good points there genius...real good....

Point # 1....."Bush knew the economy was about to collapse and capitalism was about to eat itself... again. It is the Republican plan to bring America to it's knees"

Point # 2...."The banking system was resuscitated by $700 billion in bailouts started by Bush but,

Point # 3..."Obama saved capitalism "

:palm::fu::palm::fu::palm::fu::palm::fu::palm::fu::palm:

Nothing convoluted about those statements by Crashk the Pinhead....
No conflicting beliefs here at all, huh ?

To sum it up...Bush (Republicans) plan to bring down America

Only to be saved by Bush (Republican) bailouts

With credit given to Obama....

Yeah...that about sums it....and the "bat shit crazy" bullshit from a real liberal pinhead Democrat is here for all to see.....
