WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A terrorist wanting to smuggle radioactive material from Canada into the United States probably would find it easy to do, a new report from congressional investigators said.

No suprise here. while our troops are trying to secure Iraq our borders and ports are left wide open.

Bush is keeping us safer! Thank God Kerry wasn't elected in 04, the terrorists would have gotten us, that's if Gore didn't surrender first! Become a Republican, it's easier than thinking. :clink:

Working on banning gay marriage, ending flag burning, and stopping stem cell funding was more important for the last 6 years.

Clearly. And here I thought security was a top priority of this failed administration.

Just like the morons in DC to publish a report stating where we are the weakest.

Reality check.... Our borders are too vast to ever "secure them" without a ten fold increase in border patrol agents. Not going to happen. So yes, they are going to use their resources on areas they deem the greatest threat. But thanks for publishing where we are the weakest... makes me feel all warm and cozy.... kind of like the news media highlighting what it would take to bring down the WTC buildings after the 1993 bombing. Smart. Real smart.

We're still entitled, as a democracy, to open reporting on government performance. I don't believe in keeping government performance secret, on principle. I'm sure this went through months of security clearances, before it was published. You appear to have rushed to judgement in 30 seconds. I have no idea if security was comprimised, but I doubt it. GAO publishes this stuff all the time, and its reviewed through proper channels.

oh without a doubt. before kids i was an avid snowmobiler in vt, and nh. I easily crossed borders. some areas have crappy fences. some main trails have a patrol on a snowmobile or vice verse at the borders. but its simple to go from side to side.
