Univ of Pittsburgh: Chinese virus appears to be declining in potency

Life is Golden

The Sage
Doctors at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center say the coronavirus appears to be becoming less potent.

Dr Donald Yealy, chair of emergency medicine at UPMC, explained at a press conference on Thursday that people seem to be contracting the virus less easily and cases appear to be less severe then when the pandemic first took hold in the US early this year.

'The virus may be changing,' Yealy said. 'Some patterns suggest the potency is diminished.'

He noted that UPMC has successfully treated more than 500 coronavirus patients since March, and in recent weeks fewer patients are requiring ventilators to help them breathe.

That's why I call it the Daily Fail.

Did you think anyone was going to react negatively to such news?

No, they questioned the source, and the probability that the poster posted it implying it was good news for Trump

What the fuck are you yammering about? Where do you see this "and the probability that the poster posted it implying it was good news for Trump"? for one. As far as your other observation concerning Trumpet and Christiefan, you are wrong there also.

Not to put too fine a point on this but I mentioned this weeks ago. I also have mentioned that Bret Weinstein pointed out first in March that this was likely to happen because this is how evolution tends to work, the experts had to know that this was likely to happen...but look at how few people have been talking about this since we first heard of this bug.

Popeye what are you rambling about?????

The source is the Pitt Medical Center lol.

If it was a man made virus [note the if] it’s not surprising it would revert back to its natural form after a few trillion replications.

Regardless of the how’s and why’s, it’s good news.

Yeh, it's so bad that it's been awarded Newspaper of the Year seven times, more than any other UK paper. Regarding Wikipedia, Larry Sanger who co-founded it, says that it's now badly biased.

Archives is right, I reacted negatively to the source, not the news. I live in Pgh., heard this 3 or 4 days ago and agree that it's great news, but if I had only read it in the Daily Fail, I'd be skeptical.
