"Unqualified"

The Swamp is horrified by Trump’s appointments not because they’re "unqualified", it’s because they’re young outsiders.

That’s not how it’s been done in DC lately.

You’re supposed to spend decades in the Swamp before you get a Cabinet post, selling your soul, abusing your office to repay your donors with favors (on demand), all while compromising yourself so deeply that you can never betray the Swamp's secrets without destroying your whole life and your family.

That’s what, in the murky minds of Swampers, makes someone “qualified.”

Now, they’re resentful because Trump’s appointees skipped the line.

They’re also mad because many of them are about to be exposed as useless at best, treasonous at worst.

The mystique of their “expertise” is about to be shattered by young, patriotic outsiders - like the Founding Fathers.

In 1776 Thomas Jefferson was 33, John Hancock was 39, Alexander Hamilton was 21, and James Monroe was 18.

It’s gonna be awesome to watch.

I doubt any Swampers are worried that Matt Gaetz isn't qualified (he is far more qualified than, for instance, Jeff Sessions, who idiotically recused himself from the Russiagate investigation without even requesting to see any evidence).

They're worried that Gaetz will tear down their fiefdoms.

As for the so-called "conservatives" who are clutching their pearls, the Gaetz nomination serves as an excellent litmus test for weeding these people out.

How can anyone who has witnessed the past four years be more concerned about whether Gaetz has paid his dues to Washington DC than they are about defenestrating a petty, partisan, politicized DOJ.

Monroe did not serve in the Continental Congress until he was 25. He was not there in 1776. He is considered a Founding Father because he was a signer of the Constitution, not the Declaration of Independence. Hamilton did not serve until he was 27, and is considered a Founding Father for the same reasons.

Matt Gaetz is 42, which is not bizarrely young. No one is complaining he is too young. There are plenty of great candidates that are younger.

Gaetz is inexperienced in almost everything except being investigated for crimes, and that is the real problem.

Both Monroe and Hamilton fought in the Revolutionary War, and were very experienced.

Barack Hussein Obama's CIA director John Brennan says Tulsi Gabbard "doesn't have the right perspective" to be Director of National Intelligence.

So, let's recall:

  • John Brennan voted for a Communist presidential candidate when in college
  • John Brennan lied under oath to the Senate about the CIA spying on Senate staffers
  • John Brennan lied to the public about Barack Hussein Obama's drone war, claiming they never killed any civilians when he knew this was false
  • John Brennan helped get the Hildebeast-financed Russia collusion hoax off the ground, and lied that it was "well-founded"
  • John Brennan lied that the Hunter Biden laptop was fake and was "Russian disinformation"

The same people who think Matt Gaetz isn’t qualified to be Attorney General thought Kamala Harris was qualified to be President.
That ones easy. She graduated from law school. She passed the bar. She was a prosecutor, She was a VP. She was a Senator. She is well qualified.
Gaetz is an idiot. He got McCarthy booted out of his house leader job. He threw the house into an embarrassing mess. They accomplished nothing for 2 years.
He walked around showing photos of his sexual exploits with underage girls. The guy who was his comrade in the sex with underage girls got 11 years in jail. Matt has been investigated for 2 years by Repubs, starting with Barr. His investigation was ending and he quit the house to stop the report from coming out.
There are people who think he is qualified to lead the justice department. How stupid would they have to be?

You're equating Matt Gaetz with Jefferson, Hamilton and Monroe? Now that is funny.

The DNI oversees a sprawling network of agencies, each with its own complexities and high-stakes responsibilities. Gabbard’s resume -- while including military service and a stint in Congress -- falls well short of what’s traditionally expected for a role of this magnitude. This isn’t a position for on-the-job training; it’s one where mistakes can have global consequences. Gabbard's appointment, along with Gaetz and that guy for Secy of Defense, can't remember his name, demonstrates clearly that Trump is incompetent and unfit for the office.

No, but all three are at high risk of not being allowed by the UniParty.

People are sick and tired of people in Washington, D.C. doing nothing as these people tried to destroy the country and getting upset at someone who actually might root out the corruption there.

We don’t have a Department of Justice. We have a Department of InJustice — and that's why you get Matt Gaetz as the nominee.

DOJ employees are threatening to quit if Matt Gaetz becomes Attorney General.

Q. What’s your reaction?

A. I can't believe how swiftly Trump is getting results, and he's not even in office yet.

:rofl2:

Gaetz is likely finished in Congress. You do realize that in accepting Trump's offer of AG, he resigned his seat in writing. Then, of course, he dropped trying to get the AG job. In Florida, that means the state has to hold a special election and elect Gaetz's replacement for the open seat. Now, Gaetz can run for that seat, but there's no guarantee he'll get it back...

Thought that might make your day.

That was stupid. Gaetz, for some reason, was nominated by Trump. That is all of it. Justice dept has nothing to do with Trump's childish and demented mind.

How many cases did Gaetz prosecute? Zero? How many cases did Harris prosecute? Hundreds?

Just saying.
I wonder why she lost then? She took great pains to tell us in every one of her answers to every question no matter the topic, that she prosecuted "multi national gangs" I think was the phrase. She really is a dimwit

Being a soldier is not qualifications for running the defense dept. It is not the same skill set. Being a billionaire is not a qualification for Treasury. In almost every nomination ,Trump has offered people positions that echo the Peter Principle. Trump is not looking for the best, but the most compliant.

No it's because they are either:

1. Completely unassociated (hence unqualified) with the department they are picked to head up
2. Sex predators/criminals
3. Highly conflicted oligarch-wanna-bes
4. A few more sex predators sprinkled in for funsies.
5. Picked EXPLICITLY to destroy their departments, not fix them.

It’s gonna be awesome to watch

Well, if one likes tv-personality sex predators with no actual understanding of their new position, then you are correct!
