It is the great unanswered question of plastic surgery: why when we are given a choice of how to look, we pick the worst look?
It is not quite the worst, but we exaggerate certain features beyond all reasonableness, and it often looks terrible. It is something within us that makes us exaggerate features that within reason look good, but we take them to bizarre extents. It is just human nature.
