William McRaven, a retired four-star admiral who famously led the team that killed Osama Bin Laden, just quit the Pentagon’s technology advisory board, reports Defense News.

The move, just reported, came just four days after after McRaven bashed President Donald Trump in a brutal Washington Post op-ed.
McRaven has asked trump to revoke his security clearance after he revoked former CIA director John Brennan’s.

“I would consider it an honor if you would revoke my security clearance as well, so I can add my name to the list of men and women who have spoken up against your presidency,” he wrote.

Good for the Admiral.

If only some of the Republican cowards in the congress would denounce him also.

But...I guess if we wait until all is revealed...most of them will be front and center denouncing him and pretending they were doing so all along.

Daffy is using clearances as a political weapon against real soldiers and FBI workers. Nobody does that. Well now it is in play. trump is such an asshole. the admiral is throwing his background and prestige behind those trump has maligned.

He was already retired and quit a board. Hardly balls to the walls. Retired Generals and Admirals and such periodically have their public bitch fit signing onto one letter or the other, one cause or the other. Happens all the time. Really no different than the College of the Ozarks crew with its military associations boycotting Nike.

After demanding a military parade, much to the chagrin of the DOD, this latest move of using security clearances as a weapon is the last straw.
