I actually know a guy who decided that the world was going to end in 2012. He then, shortly after describing the apocalypse and the Rapture came into $2 million when his business was sold. He asked me for some investment advice, and I told him not to bother. He has enough to spend $300,000 a year until the rapture. His response - "Oh that?"

So he ended up buying prebuilds in Vegas and lost his shit. Nice guy, true story.
