There is the matter of serfdom. If the word describes anything in contemporary American life, it is surely the self-subordination of respectable people with ordinary lives to a movement that requires belief in bizarre and incendiary ideas, as well as flagrant offenses against decency. Trump joined this choir as he descended his escalator, announcing in effect liberation from old obligations to generosity or fairness.

Trump has enlisted followers who might very well engage in acts that lead to death and destruction, assuming that some deaths will be their own, and the destruction will befall their own country. This makes sense only if the reward is self-submission, the craving for an identity that supersedes the autonomy of democratic citizenship.

Another mindless cut and paste, and an inversion fallacy once again, describing Democrat and Biden problems on Trump.

The United States was never a democracy.

Fascism is government manipulation of markets. Examples in the U.S. include the EPA, the NEA, the CPSC, the BATF, Affirmative action laws (which is also racism),
Since you decided to mindlessly quote from the Guardian, you might as well know that fascism is alive and well in the UK as well. It is also in France and Germany.

Fascism is a form of socialism. Like all socialism, it is based on theft.

When you have government telling you who you must hire, who you must fire, what you must sell or product for, what product you are allowed to manufacture, where you must buy your raw materials from, where you can sell your product, etc.; you have fascism.

It is not 'creeping'. It's here.

Oh, and just be complete, communism exists in all four nations I just mentioned as well. Communism is government ownership of markets. Examples in the US include the Federal Reserve, Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, etc. Examples in the UK include government medical care, the Bank of England, it's "free college" program, etc.

Kind of like a very confused young woman who thought she was a man and then decided the best thing to do would be to kill innocent people, 3 children, at a Christian school. It's the utter refusal to look at yourselves that makes leftists so dangerous. It NEVER crosses your mind that the things you believe and push onto others might not be good for them or society.

Open rioting and looting. More businesses are closing permanently, including four Walmarts.

All thanks to Democrats defunding and detoothing police.

They have tried, essentially defining it as 'conservatism' or 'anything to do with Trump'.

They think they can dictate to businesses what product they can sell, how much they can sell it for, who they must hire, who they must fire, where they can buy their raw materials, their place of business, how much money they are allowed to make, etc.

It is DEMOCRATS that try to ban things like gasoline cars, trucks, lawn mowers, incandescent light bulbs, toilets that actually work, whether parents have any say over mutilation of their kids, require you to purchase things you don't want, try to ban certain guns (or all guns), etc. This tyranny comes from DEMOCRATS. ALL of it is fascism. Like the Nazis before them, they are racist, they hate Jews, they hate kids, they hate blacks, they hate family values, they hate everything that is not them.

And the violence, crime, and chaos we are seeing is in Democrat run cities.
