My beef is with Saudi Arabia and how the US seems to coddle these assholes. The whole idea to become 'Energy Independent' is so we can detach ourselves from these backward religious nut jobs.

I tend to agree. But sadly we need bases in the ME and Saudi Arabia is centrally located.

Let the Saudis guard their own Interests. Let them expend their Blood & Treasure rather than ours.
It amazes me how the same people that hate Islamists, are the same people that want to spend US Blood & Treasure on protecting them.
