Obama could have gone down in history as a great president - if he had had the courage to condemn illegal Israeli squats in the West Bank and Jerusalem, along with the other fourteen members of the United Nations Security Council. Instead, he will be remembered as a good president who had the courage to abstain in the face of vicious criminal opposition.

This,of course, is a momentous decision on the part of a US administration. The world knows that Washington is saturated with criminal neoZionists and that Congressmen and Senators alike are in the pockets of AIPAC and the World Zionist Organisation. These are demonstrable facts. Now lets see if ordinary Americans- that's YOU, folks, prefer to be aligned with the just and moral movements of this world that we share or if they prefer to side with the assassins , thieves and brutal ethnic cleansers of an Israeli society which, every day, becomes more fascist, more marginalized and delegitimized simply because of an arrogance and greed fostered by previous US administrations.

Clinton would never have had the courage. Sanders would.

You're a whole day behind events. Four SC members carried the Resolution forward. The US abstained. It passed. Trump/ Egyptian/Israeli treachery came to nothing. Trump's first major failure.

Any US administration would be crazy to move its embassy into OFFICIALLY designated Occupied Territory. It would rank with moving its Chinese embassy to Tibet. Still, the world will be laughing at Trump from this day forward. The more fascist he becomes , the more the world will laugh.

Sissi is not a ' leader ' in any respectable interpretation of the term. He is the figurehead of an anti-Islamic coup which was financed by the US in order to eliminate Morsi as a perceived opponent of neoZionist fascism. Of course Sissi will do as the US instructs. The US pays him billions of dollars every year to keep peace with Israel.

Such generalizations carry no weight. The FACT is that, as of today, Israel's illegal occupation is not supported by United States policy. Of course, the US should support Israel's LEGAL activities, as any level-headed observer will agree.

It was adopted with 14 votes in favor to a round of applause. It is the first resolution the Security Council has adopted on Israel and Palestinians in nearly eight years.

The resolution “reaffirms that the establishment by Israel of settlements in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law, and a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-State solution and just, lasting and comprehensive peace.”

The resolution demands that Israel “immediately and completely cease all settlement activities.”
