does anyone have a hard time saying that they are american?? i only ask b/c when people ask me where i am from per say if i am in england or france im inclined to say irish or italian or polish. not to say im ashamed of being american but just that its what i am is irish italian or polish.


just curious...
 
in addition saying that i am american doesn't really say anything of what i am since im from all these other countries....

adam and Rstring will probably have a ron paul thought now....

I say I'm californian.
 
only limosine liberals are ashamed of being american.
I'd proudley tell them I'm from the country greater than any of their's.

Not true. I'm no limosine liberal and I've been completely ashamed at the direction this country has taken and the fact that Bush was elected twice.....well, technically only once.
 
When I'm abroad, I can't say I'm ashamed to be an American, but I do apologize for Bush pretty often. It's one of those "don't judge Americans by that hopeless buffoon" kinds of things...

I always just said, "I'm from the U.S." Nobody ever gave me any trash for it either, contrary to popular belief.
 
your going to the wrong countries if you cant say where your from.

Its retarded to be ashamed of your country that is still the best country in the world. Your not responsible for the actions of your leader.
