Doesn't the female kill the male after mating?They really aren't "migrating" though. The males leave their burrows and go looking for the females who stay in theirs. They tap with their front feet at the opening of the females' burrows, if they are acceptable she goes out for a mating session and returns home. The male then either returns to his burrow or makes a new one.
