Health care reform is moving through Congress despite the attempts of the status quo lobbyists to deny change to the people!

All the measures currently under consideration by Congress are designed to achieve President Obama's goal of extending health care to the 47 million US residents who lack it while slowing the growth of medical costs nationwide.

Insurance companies will be required to sell coverage to all, without exclusions for pre-existing medical conditions.

The federal government will provide subsidies for lower-income families to help them afford policies that would otherwise be out of their reach.

We all win when President Obama wins!

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi D-CA has identified the enemy of the people in the fight to reform the broken health care monopoly.

"It's almost immoral what they are doing. Of course they've been immoral all along in how they have treated the people that they insure. They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening."

The cost of reform is limited to just $1 trillion over 10 years in the new House bill.

The bill will limit future premium increases that greedy insurers charge, and will let the government save money by negotiating pharmaceutical prices under Medicare's prescription drug program.

The bill will provide insurance for the 47 million people in the US who now have no coverage, curb health care costs, and make it harder for greedy insurance companies to deny coverage as a way to maximize profits at the expense of human suffering.

The legislation also would broaden Medicaid, the federal-state healthcare program, to cover more low-income people. Middle-class workers would receive new subsidies to pay health insurance premiums.

Democrats have broken the obstructionist stranglehold that had held up reform, and now the way is clear for the will of the people to be enforced.
