I'm still laughing about that one. He nefariously injured his back some other way so he could say that and sit in a chair...

I'm not sure where the logic in that one is.

Imho bush is just not too bright. Cheny is evil.
 
Fear and Hope are both imaginary scenarios of what's to come....neither are anything solid that can be photgraphed or shown in the physical...yet both can be shattered...as if something made of clay?

Hope makes us feel better than fear....and without something to fear, or to dislike, or to disdain...there would be no reason to hope for a change in things....(thus president obama and the democrats should thank president bush for giving all of the controversial reasons during his presidency to make hope and change the focus of the 2008 election that paved obama's way to the presidency.)

I think our country has a hard road ahead...and most people have hopes too high....not in obama being better than bush in representation of us....but in solving every mega problem that we are really facing...i guess i can still hope for the best, but at some point, reality should set in, no?

Yes Care, I think there are no fast and painless fixes for our big problems and many will be dissapointed. Why I said in another post about Jeb Bush and Palin winning in 2012.

well you see, his medical condition meant he couldn't stand for hours on end.

We'll just ignore the fact that they were only out there for about an hour and for most of it, people were seated.

The Bushes are finally done, THe Clintons are not, I might point out!

Palin is relegated to a joke.... she will never be seriously considered for office outside Alaska again.!

I liked the boo's. It is America, after all.

But my favorite part was when Bush had to sit there and listen to Obama shred pretty much everything he did in the most subtle way, and just take it. Cheney, too (who looked like an old woman for some reason).

Glad you enjoyed going; I was thinking yesterday that I should have made the effort. It looked incredible, like a part of history.

That was great too.

I really thought I was going to regret going, but the opposite happened. I went to the concert on the mall, and you don't get close, no way. But they have the huge screens all over, and the crowds and the people were incredible. Everyone was so happy. Everyone was just dancing right there. it was so great. I loved it.
 
I'm thinking "fear" might be better than "hope" although it doesn't make you feel as good.

Fear motivates. In fact, it's the greatest motivator.

Hope does not motivate. Hope is synonymous with "wish." I hope/wish things get better .. but it doesn't motivate you to do anything to make it better.

Just my take ...
