The ever braggadocios "super genius" was proud to "grandstand" in the Oval Office and boast of taking ownership of the pending shutdown in front of his favorite Fox News (actually Fox Entertainment )viewing audience.

That lasted about a week, or until it became clear that an ACTUAL shutdown might occur. Then Trump did a 180 degree shift and did what he said that he wouldn't so. Blame the Democrats. Colore me "surprised".
 
He serves Russia well. Not being geographically well informed, he supposes it to be his Vaterland!
 
lasted long enough to get what he needed......the House passed a bill that included a wall.......you can't blame Trump for refusing to sign a bill until Congress gives him a bill to sign......
