This is a story that really highlights the moral decay of our society. That these boys would rape a poor girl who can't even walk and that some dirtbag stands by an videos it while laughing proves how far we have sunk as a society.

Girls really need to be taught to take care of themselves so they don't put themselves in these types of situations.

Now before the Vagina Trinity of Christie, Rana and Snarla set thier tampon strings ablaze accusing me of defending rape I am not.

I am merely pointing out that we can not trust the good judgement of others as is obvious in this case. Forget getting raped for a second. Nobody should drink this amount of alcohol an leave oneself that vulnerable. It makes absolutely no sense
 
this should bring up a very delicate dilemma. I just read a court opinion this morning where someone tried to claim that they were too drunk to consent to a RST and breathalyzer or consent to a search of the vehicle. the court disagreed, so either alcohol is a determining factor in consent or it isn't.

I read that he finds the whole situation inexcusable. The girl is at fault for the actions that led her to this, and the men are predators and morally corupt. . .

Everyones to blame. For their own actions. But on top of that the courts found decided that because she hadnt said no she wasnt raped.

There is a definitve difference in defending rape and asking a woman person to be responsible and aware of the consequence of her their actions.

Wonder how they missed this tidbit: "...prosecutors state that the inebriated girl was taken to a number of parties by a group of drunk teenagers..."

Everybody was drunk but for some reason only the girl has to learn how to take care of herself. How about these asshole boys learning that you don't drink yourself if underage, you don't take advantage of a person who did, and you certainly don't film it and put it out on the internet.

So a woman is rendered unconscious due to a roofie and can't say no. If she's sexually molested, its not rape?

I think you misunderstand me. I think it is rape. The defense said it wasn't. I Agree with Christiefan insofar as "How about these asshole boys". Now, whether or not the guys maliciously raped her I'm not sure. It sounds like everyone was pretty drunk at that point. But if there's an unconcious woman spayed out in front of you the proper response is not to undo your belt buckle.

I personally think that the boys probably knew she was too drunk to respond. However that's not a free pass to her. I fully agree that its unacceptable to place oneself in positions of vulerability. That female went off to several parties, got increasingly intoxicated and did nothing to try to remove herself from this. there's blame to be had all around, and if you want these kind of things to decrease or stop then we need to propertly prepare (in this case) our children and youths.

She went out to the party. She got drunk. Tell me she couldn't have stopped it or better yet not indulged in underage drinking to begin with?

I believe the article made reference to the girl's friends seeing the girl drunk and getting into a car with all guys and wanting to stop her but not doing anything about it. That is a time when someone needed to step up and stop the drunk girl from getting in the car. Nothing positive was going to happen after that.

I taught my daughters to take care of themselves, to be aware of their surroundings at all times, to not take risky chances and make stupid decisions.....
doesn't everyone ?

You play in traffic, don't blame the freakin' drivers that run over you.

I tell both my kids "nothing good happens after midnight". So far, so good.
