Actually they SAY he molested OR raped a woman in Sweden. However Swedish courts simply wish to hold an investigation. There is no trial planned at this time.
So, IF the 'crime' was in Sweden why is America demanding his extradition to the US? Why is the UK government threatening to 'invade' Ecuadorian sovereign territory to get him?
Sweden has been invited to London to conduct their investigations or to simply question him. Why will they not go? BECAUSE THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE that will stand up in a court of law and they know that they will then be powerless to obey the great American government and send him for trial in a country in which the perpetrator of the supposed crime has already been gaoled and in which Julian Assange has broken no laws.
Its not Big Brother its BIG UNCLE SAM.

Anyone who is prepared to say NO to those people deserves a medal.
There will be a movement bigger by far than the Occupy movement if this state corruption and misuse of the law is not stopped. As soon as the wealth gap reaches the trigger point (unknown) and one more nation suffers like the Greeks something is going to bang.

So how can the US government be persuaded to stop their nonsense? There are people in high places who want him executed and others who just want him killed.
I think public opinion in the UK will prevent an invasion of the Ecuadorian Embassy but Sweden is still a problem.

I don't think he has been accused by any legal body in Sweden. The authorities have said they wish to INVESTIGATE the matter. Investigate is not an accusation and certainly does not suggest that there will even be a trial. Why wont the come to London a to establish whether there is likely to be a case. The Ecuadorian embassy have invited them. If their investigations show sufficient cause then he can be accused and possibly tried. BUT THERE IS NO CASE.
So why send him to Sweden?
So the American government can demand his extradition and take their pound of flesh.
Cameron will destroy the goodwill the UK has built with the Olympics and make the UK look as bad as America. (I reckon he will have to resign if his poker game fails. Good riddance!)

Good stirring speech from balcony of Ecuadorian embassy just finished. Demands made on Obama and the US to stop the Wikileaks witchhunt. Revealed that British police had been 'swarming' over the building overnight but were prevented from taking action because of the number of witnesses and the vigil outside.
Brilliant stuff. If only, if only we could co-ordinate this to fight this unified and corrupt power that feeds off the body of ordinary people like an evil cancer. The crooked governments who steal aid, the corporate greed that is bleeding us all dry, the political chicanery and criminal acts that has gaoled the Pussy Riots and has kept Bradley Manning behind bars for over 800 days without a trial.
But no. It wont happen because, in the end, we all leave it to someone else. And then, when they fail because we were not standing shoulder to shoulder with them, we criticise them.
