1. I supported the War in Iraq in 2003, and I still do today (with or without reservations)

2. I was tricked by George W Bush into supporting the War in 2003, but I am opposed to the war now (aka Chuck Hagel, John Edwards, Desh, Cypress)

3. I supported the War in 2003 and mysteriously without explanation am now opposed to it - I pretend and deny to ever supporting the war in the first place (aka Damocles, Beefy, DigitalDave, Dano, etc...)

4. I was opposed to invading Iraq before the invasion in 2003, I am still opposed to it today

WTF makes that an admirable position? You're an idiot.

I think #1 and #4 are honourable positions...

#2 and #3 is where most of the posters on JPP stand... if they were man enough to tell the truth....

There is nothing honorable about being stupid enough to be tricked into a war based on lies, and then holding on to that for 5 years as the body count goes up and up because you don't want to admit you were wrong.

Absolutely nothing. In my opinion, that is the least "honorable" of any of these positions.

They believe that invading Iraq was the right thing....the end justifies the means....

You would rather have that position than pretend you were so stupid that even Bush tricked you?

And it is this "belief" which renders them morally deficient scumbags.

Yeah, I'd rather be stupid enough to have fallen for bush's lies about mushroom clouds, but decent enough to have stood against him once I realized he was a liar.

there is no personal shame in being tricked. Unless it is repeated or you learn nothing from it.

all those in that category became Libertarians and Independents.

the stupit ones are still riging the bus towards the cliff and having a pep rally.
